Design verification is planned, performed and documented to ensure that the design development outputs have satisfied the design and development input requirements.

Design verification includes the following:

• Review of design stage documents before release.



• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of calculations ,and perform alternative calculations when required.



• Compare designs with similar proven designs (if available).



• Assignment of qualified drawing checkers and ensure that drawing checking is completed.



• Review of design output documentation after changes have been made to verify accuracy, completeness and compliance with design output.



• Documented certification and approval of all design output.
